Paint Party !!!!

RATS!

These watercolors are still drying
and I haven't erased the pencil lines yet on them.
this is what they look like
BEFORE
I add ink lines to the picture for definition

Today I took a few photos of my work on the book
Percy
Im doing these watercolors... with ink added
for  my author/ poet friend...Danny Langone
and our  rhyming children's book series.
He says Creeper (the cat)
and our very first book together will be out hopefully soon !
but I like my pictures for this book much better
with experience it gets much easier to relax and enjoy it

This is still wet
with no ink lines added yet.

Percy is tired of stale nuts

This is Percy afraid to look at the rat
I would do this too !
Happy painting and crafting
and just being super creative this week
with your pencils, paints, materials, papers, cameras....

It looks like you are really enjoying illustrating Percy and his adventures. What a fun project, mouse books were always my favorite as a kid. Percy looks like he'd go on my Frequent Checkout list at the library.

I am fascinated to watch this process unfold and they look so different once the ink is added... I have a tendency to ink at the beginning but maybe i need to reverse my process and give it ago xx

Ouch, sometimes I don't see all the pencil lines, I know what you mean. I love him, he is so cute. Your drawings/paintings speak. Blessings, Janet PPF
