Paint Party Friday 4/19/2012

Painting is in full swing !
I am energized and super happy
to be
 excepted into an Art Show
 (my very first)

a new Cinci riverfront painting in the works this week

now it looks a little closer to done,..but not done yet

these are going to be pears

...also these are more pears

Cincinnati skyline's Roebling Bridge on the Ohio River
This Cincinnati bridge across the Ohio River
from Ohio to Kentucky is the oldest bridge
in these parts of the state
built in 1866 it spans 1200 ft
and 100 ft high  at the center
so steamboats could get under
 the longest suspension bridge
 to that point in history
in Cincinnati.
Thirty years later the
New York Brooklyn Bridge was built
and is based on the bridges design
I believe.

I plan to paint in the details soon
such as the suspension wires
and the reflections of the city
in the Ohio River.

I will be busy building up my inventory
of art works
I have high hopes for my
very first art show

Wow! these are beautiful. Really gorgeous colors and light. I was born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. My dad was in the Air Force right after World War II. He was overseas when my Mom was ready to deliver so she went home to her parents in Loveland, Ohio.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comments.
