Paint Party Friday and Loveland Paint the Town

July 1st  we have an art event called
"Paint the Town"
here in Loveland Ohio

I went and picked up my artist packet
this afternoon over at
Loveland Hardware Store
The people at the store are always so nice
I like that place a lot!
So I  am working on doing a oil painting
 of the Loveland Presbyterian Church

It is a spectacular building and I love the look of it

So here is the way I decided to start my painting
with the help of a photo and trace it to a clear plastic sheet
then project it to the size I need right on the canvas

this window is going to be the hardest thing to recreate

Happy painting  my friends
say a prayer for me
may have bit off more than my
palette knife can chew

oh, good luck! your cityscapes are gorgeous, but trying to fit to a building - and a church, even - would be intimidating. :)

Woah hats off to you girl--that is a beautiful building and scene and it looks like you've managed to capture it pretty well already in pencil.

How brave to tackle a stained glass window--from a distance! I'll be checking back to see how it goes!

My projector is on the wall and can be adjusted, quite ungainly, but it was purchased back in the 1970s. Fun, now if I just clear off the drafting table under it, I could use it again, lol. Good luck with the picture. Yes, it is a challenge. I look forward to seeing it as you work on it. Blessings, Janet PPF
