I Love Crafting - With All My Heart !

KAT's "Crafty" Nature  !
this is a little heart I made
I have made several of them now

 this is stainless steel wire
 very heavy duty
I plan on hammering the ____ out of it !

cut a 6 inch piece of wire and loop it in the middle by hand (I'm so strong)

make the middle loop small as you can
It will end up being the loop that we string the charm by
as you see on the finished heart shape charm below it

Here is the basic heart

keep squeezing the center loop closed

I clipped the two  ends down to size
a skinny heart will need this clipping
a fat heart will not
start the curly-Q on the two ends

Here is my stuff to start hammering it

I use the round end to get a hammered look

keep it rounded

really cute. i wish you luck trying to find a good outlet for your wares. i've never tried to sell anything, and admire those who put themselves out there. hard enough for me to give away my art once a month!

Hey!

You should search out "Indie" Craft Fairs in your area. This is a trend that is starting to take off all over the country. You would do well at those. The group here locally has them every other month. I love to attend and I drop too much money everytime I go!! lol

Well, that is really cute. I do think it is hard to get started selling anything online. I know lots of gals that can't sell anything even though they have wonderful products like you do. Sad....

I hope you have a wonderful week...and thanks for the instructions on the heart making. I would love to try this at some point! xo Diana

I think the comments above are all correct, your work is wonderful and you just need the right outlet, I knowlots who have wonderful crafts and they don't sell on Etsy, my daughter also does this form of jewelry making, I think its beautiful, sell from your blog, people can still pay by paypal, have a super day.

Love your hearts they are so cute! What kind of wire did you use, like what guage did you use? I am about to try my hand but have no clue what kind of wire to get!

20 gauge stainless steel wire will work or any pretty wire of about that gauge.I painted on a silver leaf paint on the finished charm if I used the steel wire

Nice hammering! They look so nice finished. Selling is hard, Etsy and blog selling especially difficult, it's seems really a crowded market...good luck!

Love this Kat.. may have to try it out myself. I sell directly off FB. People can leave me a comment or send me a message if they want an item and then we paypal it. There are ways to put a shopping cart up on a FB page as well. Etsy is so big now, it's hard to show up on it so it's mainly your own referrals that get people there.. so it may as well be a FB page and free. :)

Just managing to make it round to a few more desks before the fun starts all over again tomorrow, I didn't realise how long it takes to leave everyone comments rather then just peeking at their desks, hope you have lots of luck selling, have a great day Lou #94
