PPF and WOYWW Post- Paint the Town

So What is on Everyone's Work Desk this fine week in June ?
Work desk - Table- Easel- or in my case...
just spread all-the-heck-over the whole room !

remember i told you about the" Paint the Town "event
here in my town of Loveland Ohio

I have managed to get work done on a few oil paintings

The church is the Loveland Presbyterian Church in town
and it is their 50th anniversary
I was thinking " tongues of fire  "
do you get the look ?
Tongues of fire represent
discipleship for Christians
so I thought that was  a cool look

There are many very talented artists in town
this week and some are painting the church also
I think my style will be kinda - " Out There"
for a church
but I'm going to go with it anyway.
always fun to try to do something
 different and challenging
promised myself I would not give up
 and I'm not going to
And as you see I'm staying true to my
Out-there  style
Oh .... my work desk, you ask ?
Ummm... OK
Here Your go

I will not show you the whole room
That would be too embarrassing
I really am in, " don't clean up" mode this week

here are two other oil paintings
of wild flowers
 that I took  photos of

they grow abundantly right on the shore
of the Little Miami River here in Ohio

See you all next week
go to the blog at WOYWW and see
what is on everyone else's desks
Most are
 so much tidier than I

just as the saying goes, you can't make a cake without breaking a few eggs, you can't paint a masterpiece without making a little mess, you have a masterpiece, your style just shines, this will blow them away!

What viberant paintings Kat,
I love the wild flowers but then I can't resist flowers.
Your desk looks fine to me ~ lots of creativity going on and you're obviously having lots of fun!

I think a lot of us take the "spread it out over the room" approach to crafting. I'm very visual, I have to see it to use it so the more spread out, the better. I love your painting style and find the church portrait very striking. It is different like you mentioned, and that is what makes it special.

I keep thinking that I am going to get back to a point when I can participate in these fun, weekly events like the What's On Your Desk. Someday...

I loved your comment about being true to your style even when it is "out there"...something that plagues many of us I'm afraid. I love the tote that you sent me and am trying to remember to carry it with me everytime I go shopping, it's a habit I NEED to get into! Your paintings are wonderful and love seeing a smidgen of your room, now be daring next week and show us more! lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina :)

Your painting of the little town church is beautiful. . . pictorial and tells a thousand tales. (Consider a book cover.) I love it. Blessings, Janet PPF

Ah, Loveland, Ohio. I was born in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, way back when, and my mothers' parents lived in Loveland, up on a big hill in a lovely old Victorian with a wrap- around porch. My Mom stayed with her parents for awhile after I was born, as my Dad was just out of West Point and into the Air Force. I think he was stationed i=either Riverside, CA or Tyler, TX at the time(1943!) I love your being yourself, and all your paintings and photos today. Happy 4th!

very cool painting - love the "tongues of fire" look! I've been doing a lot of melted crayon paintings lately, so my house at home is full of them, but right now we're away and all I've got is watercolors and a few pens.

Happy (belated) PPF!
