I Love Paint Party Friday

I have done more work
 on this Oil Painting
You may remember it
 from a previous post

Do you see any changes ?

I have about five paintings in a semi-finished
and semi-dry state right now

Do you think this one is finished ?

This is the painting a week ago

...And this is the same painting today
a little more going on
So what do you think ?
Do you prefer the before
...or the after
I am just wondering
Be truthful and let me know
I won't have my feelings hurt ...no matter what
I know everyone has different likings
and a different way to achieve what they want in art

Are you a photographer ?
Are you an art lover ?
Are you an artist ?

I recently joined the " Red Bubble " art site
It is all free
... and so far
I like it a lot
I ordered some sample stuff to check their quality
and I am very happy with the prices
and the quality of the cards and prints
It is a fun place and lots of very nice artists
to converse with also
this is the link to get to my Red Bubble page
Check it out if you have a minute or two ... Thanks!

come see all the wonderful art work at
Paint  Party Friday  !! You will enjoy

I like both before and after pictures. The soft color and the texture makes it look like sugar :o)

I'm quite entranced with your birch trees leaning against your door...Lovely! I have a birch tree right outside my studio window so this painting caught my eye immediately. Your birds are lovely too! Happy PPF! Robin Panzer Art Studio 33

Oh I love the bird painting... the extra flowers seem to mute the birds a bit more, however it's lovely. Happy PPF!

I like after but all your art is just lovely. I particularly like the painting of the trees stood against your door - wonderful.

Your bird paintings have a Renoir feel about them - they are truly beautiful. I enjoyed my browse around your store!

I think I like the after better. It has an airier feeling. The colors are just wonderful. I am still loving that birch tree painting, too! xo Diana

I like the added details! And I consider myself a little of everything...I enjoy it all! ♥

Your paintings have a beautiful impressionistic feel to them. Great job! I especially love the look of the tree painting. Your birds are looking good, too. Some more contrast in value might help to create a focal point for the birds...if that's what you're aiming for.

Hello Kat, your painting is really something, the textures, colours, detail. I would probably add a dash of something bright like reds and orange tones to spice it up a bit, it would show off the blue tones wonderfully. Thanks for sharing with us and have a great week-end!

Thanks for the Red Bubble info. I've been tossing around what to do. Your paintings are great. I have to say I like the bird one from a week ago a little better. They were to focus then and seem to have gotten a bit lost in all that leafy goodness you painted in this past week. Both are lovely. Happy PPF

Oh, the color and texture is so delicious it makes me think of frosting on a cake. I prefer the after--adding the white gives it a little something "extra." Maybe the birds could "pop" just a little more? This painting is just gorgeous! Happy PPF --Sadee @ a Picturebook Life

What I find amazing is that the addition (or subtraction) of colors and background completely changes the tone of the painting in each version. You'd swear they were separate paintings in a series instead of one going through different versions. I'd be hard pressed to say which appeals to me more.

I honestly love the painting both ways. And I especially love that you didn't change that the birds blend into the background so you have to look for them.

I love them either way! I think they are both beautiful!!! Happy PPF!

I like really them both, it's a beautiful painting, but I like the top photograph of the post most! There it looks like the sun is just almost peeking from the clouds, and I think it is a great effect.

The difference seems to me to be that you added more white highlights? And I like that. It was beautiful before too but I thinks the highlights add to it.

The others are looking great as well!

It looks finished, I love it the way it is, but it is your interpretation that makes it what it is/will be. We will then see it though our eyes and enjoy it. Blessings, Janet PPF
