Fall-ing Leaves

"Fall-ing Leaves"  pastels and oil paints that are water soluble work well together

making small paintings on canvas paper then cut them out and mount onto wood

very thinned oil paint of leaf shapes
I used wood glue to attach the canvas to wood blocks

oil pastels to give shades of color  - using my finger-tip to smear the color together

I may hang them in a chained together form like falling leaves

Like this

this one looks nice just setting on the mantle

Hi Kat,

Oh wow - I love your leaves. They are beautiful. The three chained together will look amazing.

Well, my Christmas paper and stamps are on the desk but I haven't done anything with them yet......
Thanks for visiting me already!

Your leaves are stunning. Thank you for showing us how the paintings come together for you. The way an artist goes about their work is also art in it's own way. Have a great week. Frances #136

These are so pretty, Kat! They would look so great hanging. Are you going to be in Mason this weekend?

These are fabulous! Your leaves just pop against that green and the final touch of mounting them on the block is fantastic!
